Admission in Ms for 2 years bachelors?
I want to know about the admission in Master’s program in Computer Science on this basis of 2-years Bachelors Degree in Economics and also currently enrolled in MCS which is 2year program for those who have done 2 years bachelors in ordered to be eligible for Ms. I consider my self a junior web developer, I am good with computer knowledge and also making my portfolio and learning new Languages which will help me in the future.
Now back to the main question. what are my chances for the Masters Program in Computer Science
You can mention in your application while applying in Germany that you have done your economics studies but decided to switch to computer science, hence you want to do a double masters. You’ve done your MCS in Pakistan and choose to do some specialization in Germany like AI or big data. This way you can be more logical about why you are applying to Germany.
Usually it works out well for people who do their bachelors and want to do their masters in Germany as they write in their applications why they want to do masters from Germany. In your case you have to make a bit sense and convince them that your primary purpose of going to Germany is to study and for that you have to give them a valid argument.
I can’t say much about the chances, it completely depends how good you are in explaining your situation and than it depends how the boards sitting in Universities and deciding on weather to give you an admission or rejecttion thinks. But i can say if you are good enough in convincing them that you really want to go their for work purpose, you’ll get the admission.
It’s good that you are building your expertise in programming. Keep working hard as there are a lot of jobs for programmers. If you think your programming skills are really good. You can also directly apply for a job seeker visa for 6 months and go to Germany to find a job.
@MuzzamAli what I know, bachelors program in Germany is of 3years and I am currently in 2nd year of MCS can apply with bachelor degree along with 1 year MCS transcript ? for the masters will I qualify for master by then?
I don’t get this
“But I can say if you are good enough in convincing them that you really want to go there for work purpose, you’ll get the admission”.
if I tell them I am coming for work, why they are going to give me the admission don’t you think, they will give preference to someone else, correct me if I am wrong!
hi, apologies, that was a mistake from my side. You should never tell them you are going for work instead of studies if you are applying for studies.
If you will apply on the basis of you bachelors, you would have to tell them what have you been doing between the time of your bachelors and this application.
If you are applying with the Masters transcript, you have to tell them why you want to switch to Germany while you are already doing your Masters in Pakistan.
You can do it both ways. I will suggest to write an email to 1 or 2 universities directly asking them if this would help. Every University has its own standard of accepting students and I guess asking them directly will be much better than people answering you on what they think.
