Which is better for an MS in computer science, the University of Freiburg or the University of Pasay?

I am planning to apply for masters in computer science this year and I found out two great universities, University of Freiburg and University of Pasay. Both have an excellent MS program and faculty. Anybody can tell me more about the Universities in terms of nights life, cost of living and jobs.

That would depend a whole lot on you and your circumstances.

Your first choice should be the one offering you the specialization you are most interested in. Also, if you cannot afford to pay the extra 6000 euros tuition that has been introduced this year like me, then you may have to let Freiburg go. If however, you are planning to apply in 2018, there is a chance that the tuition will have been scratched. The university is trying to put pressure on the government to do away with it.

In my opinion, though, Freiburg is the better choice. It’s a good place to live in. Lots of sunshine from what I have read. Also much better known as compared to Passau. Cant say much from experience though. Also, if you haven’t yet applied, you need to apply at Passau via uni-assist if I remember correctly. That is a whole lot of extra money for foreign applications if the rest of the universities you are applying to invite direct applications.

Maybe have a little chat with alumni from both the universities regarding the finer points, faculty and curriculum? It may help you decide.

All the best!
